A film camera by the name of Contax T3 by Kyocera is making a comeback in Japan.
Some online auctions are selling it for more than 250,000 yen, almost three times the price it cost when it was first released.
The Zonar 35 mm f/2.8 lens was designed by Carl Zeiss for this camera.
It was so good that Kyocera asked Carl Zeiss if they could call it the Distagon, a higher-level lens than the Zonar (Carl Zeiss stubbornly refused, so this never happened).
On the other hand, RDP3 was Fujifilm’s standard reversal film and it was a wonderful film with blue transparency and good colour.
I have uploaded some photos of cherry blossoms in Japan that I have not taken in a long time using this configuration.
